Update on AP Exam Scores❗️
|
|
|
|
The UVM Transfer Affairs team has begun reviewing AP scores submitted by incoming students. If you sent your scores to UVM, you can expect an update in the next couple of weeks with details on how your credits have transferred and what steps to take if any changes to your fall course schedule are needed. Transfer credits can be viewed in your myUVM portal under the Academics Records card. If you need to make a change to your schedule, reach out to your advisor in Navigate 360 or email Student Services/Student Success at your college.

📚 Your Learning Community (LC) Summer Reading Program
|

|
|
|
|
As a member of a UVM Learning Community, you’ve been sent information on how to access your community’s Summer Reading Program book. Chosen to reflect the theme of your LC, this book will be part of events and conversations throughout the year.
Please read it before arriving on campus. On Friday, August 28th, you’ll join a required book discussion with other first-year students in your LC during New Student Orientation, led by a UVM faculty or staff member.

Vector Solutions Learning Modules due August 14th
|
|
|
|
Empower, prepare, and educate yourself on important topics that impact our campus community through three required online trainings - Understanding Alcohol and Other Drugs, Mental Wellbeing, and Sexual Violence Prevention for Undergraduates.
These interactive modules are available now and typically take 45–90 minutes each to complete. Be sure to give yourself enough time and complete all modules by August 14th.
Once finished, this item will move to the completed section of your New Student Checklist!

Your CATcard is your official UVM identification. It provides access to your meal plan, residence hall, library, fitness center, and more. Your CATCard is installed on your phone and can take some time to set up. You'll want to have it ready before you arrive on campus!
First, Follow these guidelines on the Webcard Center webpage to upload your passport-quality photo and a copy of a government-issued ID (ex. driver's license/passport). Once your photo and ID are approved, you can do the next steps.
Next, if you have not yet downloaded Duo Mobile app, set that up on your phone.
Finally, download the GETMobile app and add your CATCard to your cell phone.

How do I ship items to campus?
|
|
|
|
|
|
Thinking about sending stuff to campus before you move in? Send all packages to your specific residence hall's mailing address. You can check your address by visiting the Campus Residence Addresses webpage and clicking on your building.
UVM cannot receive any packages for move-in before August 17th.
Packages can take time to be logged and accessible to students. Because of the volume of packages being sent at the end of August, it could take an additional week of processing and delivery time once it arrives to campus. You will receive a communication to your UVM email when your package is ready to be picked up at your residence hall office.
We strongly recommend that you pack and bring with you any essential items you may need right away, including medications, since mailed packages may not be available on move-in day.
Letter mail will be sorted into your personal mailbox. You will not receive an email about items in your mailbox, so remember to check it!

If you're interested in shipping items to campus early (before August 17th) and having them delivered to your room at move-in, Storage Squad is a great option! You can ship directly from online retailers or from home, with free packing kits, tracking, and insurance!
When you arrive for move-in, any items sent to Storage Squad will be in your room and ready for you to unpack and set up!
