Submit the Student Accessibility Request Form (optional)
|
Student Accessibility Services (SAS) proudly recognizes accessibility as a civil right and an essential element of our society and campus community. SAS staff work with admitted University of Vermont (UVM) students to ensure equal access to UVM academic, residential, and other campus programs and services. All disability-related accommodations are determined through an interactive process that requires the engagement of students, faculty, and staff.
If you had a 504 plan or IEP in high school, it will not automatically transfer to UVM. If you need academic accommodations like extended time on exams, housing accommodations like elevator/ground floor access, or communication access like an ASL Interpreter, it will be important to you reach out to SAS via the Accommodate Portal and Getting Started form so they can work with you to get you the appropriate accommodations. All disability related housing accommodation requests must be made by June 1 to guarantee implementation by the start of the semester.
