Review Computer Requirements & Recommendations
Access to a computer is crucial for your success both in and out of the classroom at UVM. To make sure you're fully equipped to engage with course materials and academic tasks, all students are required to have a laptop that meets the minimum specifications listed below.
Students who might have financial difficulty meeting their computing needs should email Student Financial Services or call 802-656-5700 for increased loan eligibility.
College Specific Requirements
Students in the College of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences (CEMS) and the Grossman School of Business (GSB) have additional technology specifications beyond the general recommendations. If you are in CEMS or GSB, be sure to check the specific requirements to ensure your computer meets the needs of your coursework.

What is a Vermont Creemee?
If you're not from Vermont you may have heard of soft serve ice cream or frozen custard, but have you heard of a creemee? Creemees are the Vermont version of a soft frozen treat, with a spin - extra cream! Creemees get their name because they are made with more butterfat than traditional soft serve, making them extra delicious. On a hot day in Burlington, you can find lots of UVM students enjoying maple creemees down by the Burlington Waterfront.
If you like your ice cream extremely local, you can also check out the UVM Dairy Bar on campus, featuring ice cream made with milk from the UVM CREAM program and ingredients including maple syrup also made by UVM students!
