Dear {{Lived-Mailing-Name}},

Now that you've started exploring your New Student Checklist, we wanted to share some resources for transfer students as you start to prepare to transition to UVM.

First, Transfer Affairs in the Registrars Office can help you review your incoming credits and help assess what requirements you may have met.

Next, if you are over 20 and need to find off-campus housing, check out the Office of Student and Community Relations to help find housing, roommates, and more! Even if you are living on campus this year, it can be helpful to know more about off campus housing options for next year!

Finally, the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) has collected many resources in one place for transfer students. While some of them are specific to CAS, many of them will be helpful, no matter your college.

Throughout the summer, we will continue to provide information relevant to the transfer student experience. Please reach out to orientation@uvm.edu if you have any questions or concerns with your onboarding process or about New Student Orientation as a transfer student.

TO-DO ITEMS

Housing Reminders!

If you have completed your housing contract, you will receive your Learning Community Assignment on May 28 and be assigned a room selection date in June. If you did not select a roommate yet, you will be able to view the profiles of other students during room selection to be sure you are a good match before selecting the same room.

If you have not completed your housing contract and you have a housing requirement, you can still do so! Visit the housing portal and sign in with your NetID to complete your contract.

If you live within 20 miles of campus and would like to request to live at home, you can complete the commuter student request form here.

If you have questions about the housing contract, roommates, room selection, or what to bring to campus, reach out to University Housing (universityhousing@uvm.edu). If you have questions about accessibility accommodations and living on campus, reach out to Student Accessibility Services (access@uvm.edu). If you have questions about financial options for on campus living costs, please reach out to Student Financial Services at sfs@uvm.edu.

Your advisor will reach out to you to set up the appointment soon, but if you would like to get started ASAP, you can contact Student Services for your college.
